Network Engineer Job

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Offer technical assistance over the phone/email/Helpdesk.
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by clients.
Walk the client through the problem-solving process.
Record events and problems and their resolution on the Helpdesk.
Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
Build, configure and install system hardware for our clients. Hardware includes but is not limited to Pc’s/Servers/Switches/Routers/Printers/Phones.
Mentor and teach junior members of staff.

Experience Necessary:
Designing and implementing new systems solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks and systems
Building and configuring Windows Server from 2012 upwards/Cloud computing/Active Directory (all components)
Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches and gateways
Procuring systems equipment and managing subcontractors
Configuring firewalls to maximise network efficiency and security
Investigating faults in networks
Updating network and systems equipment to the latest firmware releases

Requirements:
Experience as a network engineer or similar support role
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
Excellent communication skills
Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
